Should we consider the given properties as rock mass properties? What about the rock stiffness properties? Is it deliberately not provided for assumptions?
The properties for the rock mass are given as the first table containing the unit weight, cohesion, tensile strength, and friction. Stiffness properties may be assumed with reasonable values.
How should I implement my ideas into my model?
Unfortunately, we can’t consult approaches that should be taken in modelling as this is part of the challenge. However, implementation questions and clarifications relating to FLAC2D and other Itasca software may be asked in the Itasca Forum. There is a special category for the ARMA SDC 2022 that will help ensure your questions are answered in this regard. Please ask the organizers for further details on how to access the forum.
